(Prevention, Addiction, Intervention, Recovery) Department concentrates on working collaboratively with clients through Psycho-education, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused-Brief Therapy, and supplementary interventions, to formulate comprehensive treatment planning, intended on facilitating advancing away from active-addiction. 

Many individuals struggling with substance-abuse experience co-occurring mental-health challenges. Whether substance-abuse is triggering psychiatric episodes, or mental-health complications are being coped with by self-medication, our programming consists of addressing co-occurring disorder (Mental-health disorder, and substance use disorder) diagnoses con-currently. The accomplishment of this takes place through a variety of ways: including the collective recognition of pro-social coping-mechanisms, grounding-techniques, replacement-skills, and thought-stopping-approaches, that could be utilized when overwhelmed psychiatrically.

Dr. Curry & Associates have an understanding of the distinguishing challenges experienced by convicted sexual offenders. This is a counseling approach advantageous for someone mandated to County, State, or Federal probation or parole, or is at least, at risk of finding themselves involved with the Criminal Justice System. Drug and alcohol, or mental-health related counseling may not perhaps be needed for you or someone you know under such circumstances (excluding the presence of substance-abuse or psychiatric oriented implications). Despite that, a probation officer or parole officer (hypothetically) may offer the recommendation for some sort of criminogenic relapse-prevention counseling service to be considered. This is where one could find themselves benefiting (from an intervention standpoint) from an emphasis being placed on correctional counseling highlighting how instrumental recidivism-prevention is. Our intentions are to address such concerns through recidivism-prevention oriented programming in a non-judgemental manner: concentrating on providing the individual with Psycho-education corresponding with neuro-cognitive implications associated with their decision-making pertaining to operating a vehicle while inebriated. Clients are introduced to Restorative Justice, and how their potential psychiatric difficulties, coupled with anti-social decision-making impacts society sociologically: on a large scale. Dr. Curry & Associates recognize that involvement with Child Protective Services, or the Criminal Justice System, because of parenting related concerns, is something that could happen to any family. The parenting improvement curriculum we facilitate is designed to help parents position themselves to become more of a pro-social, idealize version of themselves. Our course is formulated to manage modern parenting oriented dynamics and challenges through the implementation of Motivational-Enhancement Therapy, Solution-Focused-Brief Therapy, as well as supplementary, applicable clinical interventions. Graduation from this curriculum comes with a certificate of completion, and clinical, professional advocacy and support throughout ongoing, or subsequent court hearings: if needed or requested (which is recommended).
